Shine The Light

For 137 years, St. Luke’s has been committed to sharing God‘s love and bringing hope to the world. From that first worship service on April 28, 1889, until today, regardless of where we have worshiped, the focus of St Luke’s has been to follow the teaching of Jesus and His greatest commandment to love the Lord your God with your heart, mind, soul, and strength and to love your neighbor as yourself. (Matthew 22: 36-40)

Our message has been consistent and clear, and it was that message that caused us to grow rapidly through our first 60 years. It was a commitment to that message that sustained us as Oklahoma City went through turbulent transitions in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. And it is a commitment to that message today that has led to St. Luke’s significant growth in its second 100 years. When a church has a strong foundation to worship, it results in people who become inspired to serve. Our commitment to loving God and our neighbors has increased the amount of missions we are doing to its highest level – and it continues to grow. With a new campus in Edmond, and through television and online worship, we share a message of hope that reaches more people than at any other time in our history!

We are now embarking on the largest capital campaign that St. Luke’s has ever had. It will address our current needs as well as ensure opportunities for growth in the years to come.
